My passion
Why do I love music
I am Navil and here are some key points about my musical project:
- Music is an ancient form of communication, if not the oldest
- For me music is a form of communication greater than any other kind of human interaction
- I am always surrounded by music
- All my music is produced by myself
- My emotions influence my music and vice versa
- My music is produced and performed by using Ableton
- I would like to teach audio production and DJ’ing
- This project is passion and if you like to know what it all is about, I invite you to get involved
- Most importantly – I like to have fun. A lot of fun. If I stop having fun, I will need to find something else
My production and performance
All my music is produced with Ableton Live. I mainly use VST instruments and inbuilt Ableton effects. Actually I have far too many VSTs, I am still in the process of selecting the useless parts so that I have a restricted number of tools and not to get confused. The aim must be to transform what I have in mind into an audible result very quickly.
My live performances usually are 60 minutes sets, mixing all kinds of genres from minimal to electro, progressive to trance. When I perform, I will have all the elements of my music under control, and can mix, layer and manipulate the music real time, making each set unique and driven by the vibes and the people on the dance floor.
My influences
Two things really drive me to make music.
Firstly, I love to produce sounds and tones that have not existed in that combination before. Breathtaking base lines combined with spherical melodies. It is almost unbelievable what a sound can unite and how the simplicity of a sound can affect someone’s emotions and feelings, bring people together. This is not to say that I am not inspired by influences from other artists, but for me the main pleasure and satisfaction is to produce my own audible elements and to combine the music myself.
Secondly, the biggest compliment is whenever my DJ colleagues play my songs and come back to me with the feedback that it carried away the masses on the dance floor and that it heated up the atmosphere.
